Adding your ISO file from the Library server to the HyperV server as a physical library object


  1. Log in to the HyperV server
  2. Click on the Virtual Machine Manager Console shortcut on the Desktop.
  3. Enter the Server name and click Connect
  4. On the left hand navigation pane, select Library in the bottom section.
  5. Click Import Physical Resource in the top banner
  6. Click Add resource
  7. Go to Network, wait a couple seconds for all the Network computers to show up. Find the library server > <some folder you have> > RHEL7 Server > select rhel-server-7.9-x86_64-dvd > Open.
  8. Next, under the Select library server and destination for the imported resources section, click browse
  9. Expand the appropriate folder tree under your library server, and select the RHEL7 Server. Click OK. You should now see your object in the text box.
  10. Click Import. Voila
