dchlient - the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) Client used to allow a client to connect to a DHCP server.

• You need this if you are not booting up using a static IP address!!

dhclient configuration files:

$ which dhclient
/usr/sbin/dhclient

# Another way of checking if dhclient is installed
# Run as root
$ dhclient status && dhclient --version

# AMAZON LINUX 2:
$ ls -al /etc/dhcp
